Right of Withdrawal
Last updated: 3 June 2026
Here we explain when the right of withdrawal applies, how to cancel your subscription and how refunds are handled. The rules are based on the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (Distansavtalslagen 2005:59).
1. Statutory right of withdrawal for consumers
Under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act, you as a private individual (consumer) have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. The withdrawal period starts the day after the agreement is entered into. To withdraw, notify us within 14 days at support@northengine.se. You may use the Swedish Consumer Agency's standard withdrawal form.
2. Digital services that begin immediately
Northengine is a digital service that is often started immediately. If you as a consumer expressly consent to us beginning to deliver the service during the withdrawal period, and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, that right ends once the work has begun. If the service has not yet started, you retain your full right of withdrawal.
3. Business customers (B2B)
The statutory right of withdrawal applies only to consumers. If you purchase Northengine as a trader — for example as a company, association or sole proprietor for business purposes — the purchase is not covered by the Distance Contracts Act's right of withdrawal. Instead, the terms of your agreement and our terms of service apply.
4. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your monthly or annual subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to the service until then. There is no lock-in period. Cancel via your admin panel under Settings, or contact support@northengine.se.
5. Setup fee and refunds
The setup fee covers building your platform and is a one-time task that begins immediately after your order. If work on your site has already started, the setup fee is non-refundable. Recurring subscription fees are not refunded for billing periods already started, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
6. How to withdraw or cancel
Send a clear message to support@northengine.se with your name, company and what your request concerns (withdrawal or cancellation). We confirm your request without delay and process any refund to the same payment method within 14 days.
7. Disputes and the National Board for Consumer Disputes
If we cannot reach an agreement in a dispute, you as a consumer can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN, arn.se) or use the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr). We participate in dispute resolution and follow ARN's recommendations.
