What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your choices and work as intended. We also use similar technologies, such as localStorage, to save your preferences in the browser.
The cookie banner
The first time you visit Northengine, a cookie banner appears where you can choose "Allow all" or "Necessary only". Necessary cookies are always set because the site cannot function without them. We use no optional cookies today, so the choice changes nothing yet. If we add any, they are only set if you have allowed them. Your choice is saved and you can change it at any time by clearing cookies in your browser.
Necessary cookies
These are required for core functions such as login, session handling, security and secure payment. They cannot be turned off, as the service would not work without them. They are never used for marketing.
Anonymous visit statistics
We count page views on northengine.se to see which pages are used. Each page view is stored as the page address, language and time, and nothing more: no cookie, no IP address and nothing that can be linked to you. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is needed, and the data is not shared with anyone.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by trusted providers we use to run the service, primarily Stripe for secure payment and fraud prevention. These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies.
